During 11 thirunangur garudasevai, Azhwar comes to this place for performing mangalasasanam to Sri Veera Narasimha Perumal. Thats what the panchAngam says i.e. koyil-nrusimhan-jayanti on vaikasi swAthi. May 1st has been mentioned as munithraya/smArtha nrusimha jayanti in panchAngam. Normally we celebrate the TNs of Kannan, azhahiyaSingar and Acahryas as per Tamil calendar.
