' ThiruvADi-p-pUram' and 'Thiru ADi UthirADam' This month commences, this year on 17th July 2007 Sri ANDAl descended to this earth for our sake - emakkAga anROA ingu ANDAL avatharithAL . Her pAsuram-s embedded with sweetness, emotions lead us to right path and blemish less goal. (puNNIyam yAm vudaiyOam and mAtRai nam kamangL mATRu). The ThiruvAdi pUram falls on 15th Aug 2007 and it is a day of great celebrations for us indeed. Sri ALavandhAr was not just a king but also a kingmaker. He made the king of Yethi-s YethiRAjar by appropriately identifying him -Yes! Here is the right person- Am, mudhalvan ivan- and bequeathed us Sri RamAnujA. The Stotra ratnam of Sri ALavandhar, and ChaduslOki are the forerunners for later AcharyAs to crystallize and cement the plank of our faith. Sri ALavandhar's thirunakshathram is on 29th Aug 2007 and can we forgot the one who gave us five great doyens who concentrated their knowledge on one Sri RamAnujA which is still flowing on to us. Let us celebrate this month of Sri ANdAL and Sri ALavandhAr with gay and gaiety, respect and emotions. Other important days in this month includes the birth star –Aadi pushyam- of Sri prathivadi bayankaram annan swamy (one of the ashtadiggajas of swamy manavala mamunikal), one who gave the great venkatesa suprabhatham to this world.
