Jai Srimannarayana ! The grand function of

HH Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji's 52nd Tirunakshathram (birthday) was celebrated by the

devotees at Kuchalambal Mantap, Chennai on the Divali day, the day of lights.

HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji reached Chennai

on 8th evening by train and the ardent devotees received HH Sri Swamiji

and the group in a grand way. All the members of JET and VT along with

many devotees had the Darsan of HH Sri Swamiji and the meeting went on

till late night 2.00 PM. Devotees were so much immersed in enjoying the

nectar of Sri Swamiji's messages that they forgot the time.

Next

day, ie., on 9th, the programme began with early hour darsan of HH Sri

Swamiji when devotees greeted HH Sri Swamiji with birthday wishes

offering Mangalasasanams. HH Sri Swamiji blessed them all.

The

programme began with A:radhana, Sevakalam followed by Thirttha Goshtti.

After Thirttha Goshtti, the Jeeyar Award Presentation function began.

Every

year HH Sri Swamiji presents this award to an eminent scholar who

rendered yeomen services in Vedic Tradition. HH Sri Swamiji says, it's

the glory to our Vedic tradition and a god blessed opportunity for us,

to honour an erudite Vedic Scholar, who has been spending his energies

throughout to preserve, propagate and practice the Vedic tradition.

This Prestigious Jeeyar award of Rs. 50,000/- along with a citation is

presented to such a Scholar on this auspicious occasion, every year by

HH Sri Swamiji. So far 11 Vedic Pundits have been honoured.

This year an eminent Vedic Scholar Chaturvedi, Srowtha Bhaskara, Vedardhabhijna, Vaidika Pravara, Vedanidhi, Nithyagnihotri, Brahma Sri Sri

Dendukuri Agnihothra Ghanaapaati ji was chosen for this award. The

programme began with an introduction and a message by the great scholar

U.Ve. Sriman S.V.Rangaramanujacharya Swami. U.Ve Sriman T.P.

Sriramachandracharya Swami, Editor Bhakthinivedana (Telugu) gave his

message explaining the continuous efforts of HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar

Swamiji in preserving, propagating and promoting the Vedic Tradition

and spiritual values in their purest form.

HH

Sri Jeeyar Swamiji presented the award to Agnihothra Ghanaapaatiji along with

citation and cash award. Then Ghanapatiji gave his wonderful message

revealing many secrets of Vedas and Vedic practices.

JET

has brought out new Vedic publications on this auspicious occasion and

they were released with the divine blessings of HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar

Swamiji. The released publications are as follows:

Sri Ahobila Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji and Nepal Jeeyar Swamiji were present on the occasion and blessed the devotees.

JIVA

– President Sriman J.Rameswara Rao explained the Vedic project coming

up in Sriramanagaram, Samshabad by HH Sri Swamiji and invited every one

to take their part in promoting such a noble activity.

President

VT, Sriman E.Ramarao detailed the revigored VT activities and admired

the wonderful efforts put in by HH Sri Swamiji in reaching the remote

areas and the rural areas in serving the society.

President

JET (S) Sriman Ch. Ramachandra Reddy gave an account of the Free

Educational activities taken up for Tribals by HH Sri Swamiji, in

forest areas like Allampalli, Beersaipeta and in sea coast area like

Katarivaripalem and hinted the coming up Jeeyar Gurukuls in different

backward areas of other districts.

The

service activities conducted by JET and the running of Free School for

Visually Challenged in Vijayanagaram, opening a new Jr. college free

for Visually Challenged in Kukatpally Hyd etc. were all developing

under the divine mission of HH Sri Swamiji were remembered by the

members of JET. Sri Swamiji's yeomen services to the society were

highly lauded by many other members.

Computer Laboratory with 30 systems was setup for the Blind Students in the Netravidyalaya Junior College Kukatpalli, Hyderabadand

it was inaugurated on this occasion of HH Sri Swamiji's birth day.

Students started learning the use of Computer systems equipped with the

Braille Software.

Smt. I.V.Anandakumari and the team of JET- VT Chennai

volunteers were conducting many spiritual activities to educate

children and youth by conducting competitions, congregations,

discourses etc. A report of activites was presented on the occasion.

HH

Sri Swamiji graced his divine benediction elucidating the importance of

Vedas and Vedic practices and the need to preserve and promote them in

the right way. HH said that 'following tradition' and 'preserving the

values of the tradition' is the need of the day. Only this will enhance

the possibilities to take the greatest spiritual values to the common

people. This of course, will bring up moral standards in the society as

a whole and also gives every individual an opportunity for spiritual

enrichment that leads to the goal of ultimate joy.

After

HH Sri Swamiji's divine blessings, everyone out there was happy with

the heart filled with the joy of spiritual message, they carefully

preserved. Blessings from many Divya Desas and prominent shrines have

come to honour HH Sri Swamiji on the occasion of his 52nd

Thirunakshathram (birthday). The bright faces of devotees were shining

like rows of divine lights and the Deepa:vali day made a great festive

occasion, of realisation and enlightenment, marking a great celebration

in Chennai.

Thadiyaradhana was conducted to all the participants.

In the evening HH Sri Swamiji conducted Sri Lakshmi Puja

in which a number of devotees took part, eagerly listening to the

wonderful explanation by HH Sri Swamiji. They were amazed at the

reasons why we celebrate Lakshmi Puja on this Deepavali

occasion and the details of how people celebrate it. After this Puja,

crackers were burnt ( marking the end of the demon Narakasura, an

example of pride & ignorance) and many lights were lit inviting the

wisdom and spiritual enlightenment.

Devotees'

longed to be with HH Sri Swamiji for more and more time listening to

his sweet messages, while enjoying the great spiritual vibrations.

Devotees were blessed to be in this Tirunakshathram celebrations and

prayed for many such occasions to come, for them to enjoy the divine

glories more and more.

The programme at Chennaiis

going on with daily discourses upto 13thNov. Sahasra kalasa abhishekam

(Divine bath) will be performed to Lord Srirama and the Parivar on 13th

by HH Sri Swamiji, a great occasion to witness. HH Sri Swamiji will be

leaving to Australia on 14th.
