Maasi month is unique for all emperumAn's to have theerthavAri either

at the banks of river as in Kollidam river or at nearby Samudram -ocean.

 

THis year, Maasi Pournami theerthavAri is scheduled on 21 Feb, 2008 at

Thirukadalmallai, the dhivyadesam where Emperumaan touched the sea

water by His Holy divine hands to dry out the water for PudarIka

maharishi. Hence it's said as " ARTHA SETHU " in the sthala mAhatmiyam.

It's an unique opportunity to take a holy dip during the samudra

theerthavAri.

 

The other most famous Maasi Uthsavam is at THiruk Kannapuram for Sri

SOWRIRAJA Perumal. The Maasi Uthsavam is scheduled from 11 Feb 2008 to

25 Feb 2008 at this dhivyadesam. This Kshetram is known for its

theerthavari at Thirumalairajan pattinam and the famous THeppa
