State Level exam of Sri Ramayanam Contest – II-2008 was conducted on 16.06.08 in TRICHY, SRIRANGAM, AZHWAR THIRUNAGARI, KARUR AND MADURAI (exam at Chennai and Viluppuram will be on 20.06.08). More than 3000 students participated in the exam at 10 centres and it was a grand success to note the reception of the contest not only by the students but also by their parents. Many parents gave testimonials of appreciation in writing too. " The education of Sri Ramayana is the need of the time and education through contest is most interesting " , many parents stated.

This year, Ayodhya Kaandam has been introduced along with Baalakaandam; other kaandams will be introduced each year.
