Respected Bhagavathas,

adiyEn is blessed to cordially invite all of you for a very special

event - in celebration of Sri Srinivasa Jayanthi (purattAsi

thiruvOnam), Sri Venkateswara Temple of Colorado is blessed to perform

Srinivasa UdhyAsthamana sEvai, a day-long utsavam in which all of the

traditional sEvais in thirumalai (malai kOvil) thiruvenkatamudAyan

will be performed to the utsavars of our soon-to-be-constructed Sri

Venkateswara Temple of Colorado. The utsavam will be taking place all

day on Sunday, October 12, 2008 at Kirk Hall, Douglas County

Fairgrounds, Castle Rock, CO.

The utsavam will begin at sunrise with the recitation of Sri

Venkateswara Suprabhatam and will continue on with thOmala sEva,

'koluvu' sEva, Sri Venkateswara SahasranAma archanai, ashtotthara

kalasa thirumanjanam, thirupAvadai, saRRumurai sEva,

thirukalyAnotsavam, Unjal sEvai, perumAL poRupadu, swarna pushpa

archanai, visEsha mantra pushpam, AzhvAr & AchArya mariyAdai, and will

conclude at sunset with sAyanOtsavam. Prasadam prepared by Sri

Vaishnava cooks will be available at various times throughout the day.

Our Chief Priest, Sri Kandur Jagannadhachariar (former Chief Priest

of Sri Balaji Temple in Aurora IL, and Sri Varadarajar Temple in

Minneapolis-St.Paul, MN) will officiate over the event along with

visiting priests from temples throughout the USA. Volunteers to

recite vEda and nAlAyiram will be valuable to ensuring that

thiruvenkatamudayAn receives the lavish kainkaryams that can be

afforded to no one other than Him.

adiyEn would like to share a little more about this temple in the

spirit of service to to all bhAgavathas - Sri Venkateswara Temple of

Colorado is the fulfilment of 25 years of patient waiting and prayer

by the people of Colorado. It through His Unbounded Grace that He

chose a group of devoted bhAgavathas from all backgrounds and

communities to serve as His instruments in finally coming to Colorado

and settling amongst the seven ranges of mountains that beautifully

adorn our Western sky. When completed (estimated early 2010) the main

temple will follow pancharAtra Agama and Bhagavad Sri Ramanuja

Sampradayam. It will be home to moolavar and utsavar forms of

SrinivAsar, thAyar, AndAl, Sri Ramar pariwAram, Sri LakshmiNarasimhar,

ChakrathAzhvAr, and of course, AzhvAr - emperumAnAr - jeeyar. Deities

for other sampradayams will reside in a separate building and will

remain in utsavar form.

Our greatest bhAgyam is the arrival of the garbha griham's main

utsavar - an exact replica of ThiruthErazhundhUr Amarviuappan with

ubhaya nAchhiyAr. This will be the first temple in the USA to have an

exact replica of a diya dEsha perumAL as its main utsavar, and it will

be this perumAL, along with kalyAna Srinivasar, to whom all the

kainkaryams will be offered on this day.

With the confirmation of your attendance, arrangements will be made

based on whether you would prefer to stay with a host family or at a

reasonably priced motel located near the hall in which this utsavam

will be taking place. Children are most welcome, and sightseeing

trips around the city of Denver and its adjacent foothills can be

conducted the previous day (Saturday), based on interest.

More information about this utsavam along with a lovely photo of our

kalyAna Srinivasan will soon be available at www.svtempleco.org

In service to His adiyArgal,

irAmAnusa adiyEn,

Mohan
