Guest guest
Dear Sir, aar viguthi in tamizh is common for all perfect, experienced, elder people. Thaai is the basic word and with aar viguthi, it becomes thaaiyaar..it cannot be taken as thaai + yaar as same way we cant do for other words thanthai + yaar, maaman + yaar etc which may give nasty meanings... Note: aar in old tamil means paripoorana --full or perfect. Old tamil literature kalaadam also refers as " aariya ooman kanda kanavu" meaning "dream of a full dumb" that is he cant express as he is full dumb..In this context only, aariya padham was handled in tamil & vadamozhi. Later britishers with divisive thoughts, mapped this and dravida words for races. We can discuss further if interested on arya/dravida concepts. regards, nanmaaran
