Guest guest
Sri:Srimathe Ramanujaya NamahaPriya Arangan Adiyar, The superiority, subtlety, sublimity and grandeur of the Sanskrit language is well known. One's spiritual knowledge isn't complete without it. It is necessary not only to learn the connotations of teachings of our Acharyas, but also to enjoy them. A starter course of introduction to Sanskrit was arranged by our Ammangar at Gurukulam. Just two hours per day for ten days made a vast difference in the minds of students who underwent the course. The Sanskrit Upaadyaya Selvi. Lavanya who speaks only in Sanskrit (with her simple words in Sanskrit she conveys all she wants to tell so that even the beginners understand with ease) used the opportunity very skillfully. Some Srimaan Bhattarkuzham students and all Srimaan Bhattar Gurukulam students attended the classes with much enthusiasm. The skill and enthusiasm of the students were exhibited on completion of the short course. A program was conducted by students with dialogues, all in Sanskrit. It was exciting to see how the children performed such inspiring dramas within the very short period. When a number of materials were given to a boy one by one in series, the boy pronounced the name of the articles without any hesitation. The comedy drama of a " cunning fan seller and the foolish king " was very interesting. " Bramhanda Bojana Sala " was a comic drama which made the entire place echo with the limited audience's laughter. Finally, the students sang in chorus in their lovely voices a song praising the Sanskrit Language and our Bharatha desam. In the end, each boy was asked to testify their opinion about the course, all with no exception expressed their eagerness to have the class regularly. This was the fantastic fruit of the venture undertaken by our Ammangar !
