Inthis pasuram, the key phrase is "dEvAdi dEvaich senRunAm sEviththAl". "dEvAdi dEvan" is Lord Varadaraja,who is also known as Deva Perumal. In Thiruppavai,in the ten pasurams starting with Pullum SilambinakanAndal wakes up the ten Azhvars. In that, it is SwamiNammazhvar who is woken up in this pasuram. Nammazhvarwhen starting his first prabandham Thiriviruththam calls to Deva Perumal as "imaiyOr thalaivA" and speaksof Him again at the beginning of his last prabandhamThiruvaymozhi as "ayarvaRum amarargaL athipathi". Thus, the divyadesam of Thiruvaththiyur is experiencedby Andal in this pasuram.
