Guest guest
Sri:Srimathe Ramanujaya Nama: Thiruppavai and Divyadesams by Sri PB Annangarachariar Swami Pasuram: NayaganayDivyadesam: Thirukkurungkudi In this pasuram, the key phrase is "thUyOmAyvandhOm thuyil ezhap pAduvAn vAyAl munnamunnam mARRAdhE ammA" ("தூயோமாய௠வநà¯à®¤à¯‹à®®à¯ தà¯à®¯à®¿à®²à¯ எழப௠பாடà¯à®µà®¾à®©à¯ வாயால௠மà¯à®©à¯à®© à®®à¯à®©à¯à®©à®®à¯ மாறà¯à®±à®¾à®¤à¯‡ à®…à®®à¯à®®à®¾"). "pAduvAn" ("பாடà¯à®µà®¾à®©à¯") stands for nampAduvAn. Nampaduvan sang about the Lord of Thirukkurungkudi divyadesam with a Veena in his hand. As he went to see the Lord one time, a brahmarakshas got hold of him and wanted to eat him. At that time, he told thebrahmarakshas "vAyAl munna munnam mARRAdhEammA" ("வாயால௠மà¯à®©à¯à®© à®®à¯à®©à¯à®©à®®à¯ மாறà¯à®±à®¾à®¤à¯‡ à®…à®®à¯à®®à®¾") and asked it not to prevent him from completing his vratam. After he makes several vows, the brahmarakshas believes that he will indeed return and lets him go. He then goesto Thirukkurngkudi divyadesam, worships Him through "nEsa nilaik kadhavam nIkku" ("நேச நிலைக௠கதவம௠நீகà¯à®•à¯") and returns. Thus the divyadesam of Thirukkurungkudi isexperienced in this pasuram.
