Guest guest
Sri:Srimathe Ramanujaya Nama: Thiruppavai and Divyadesams by Sri PB Annangarachariar Swami Pasuram: KoodaraiDivyadesam: Thiruvengadam In this pasuram, the first line and last lineare to to be taken as key. The first line speaks of removing obstacles ("kUdArai vellumsIrகூடாரை வெலà¯à®²à¯à®®à¯ சீரà¯") and the last line speaks of bhAgavatas being together with Him ("kUdi irundhuகூடி இரà¯à®¨à¯à®¤à¯") free from distress ("kuLirndhuகà¯à®³à®¿à®°à¯à®¨à¯à®¤à¯"). During Ramanuja's time there were several difficulties that happened at Thirumalai. Ramanuja removed these obstacles and came tobe famously known as "appanukku sangkAzhiaLiththaruLum perumAn" ("அபà¯à®ªà®©à¯à®•à¯à®•à¯ சஙà¯à®•à®¾à®´à®¿ அளிதà¯à®¤à®°à¯à®³à¯à®®à¯ பெரà¯à®®à®¾à®©à¯"). Nammmazhvar's desire to be with Him withoutbreak and perform service was experienced at Thirumalai ("ozhivil kAlam ellAm udanAy manniஒழிவில௠காலம௠எலà¯à®²à®¾à®®à¯ உடனாய௠மனà¯à®©à®¿" - Thiruvaymozhi 3-3-1). Also, Andal calls Thirumalai as "kuLiraruvi vEngkadamகà¯à®³à®¿à®°à®°à¯à®µà®¿ வேஙà¯à®•à®Ÿà®®à¯" (Nachchiyar Thirumozhi 8-3). Thus, the divyadesam of Thiruvengadam isexperienced in this pasuram.
