Guest guest
SWALLOWING THE LORD WHO SWALLOWED THE WORLDS The Lord swallowed the worlds -vulgamuNDa peru-vAyan. When we swallow or twist some letter or words in a pAsuram, we tend to swallow the Lord Himself. One of adiyEans friends , now in Delhi, repeatedly used to chant as 'vuruguginRa nEdumAlEa' 5-8-1 of Tiruvaimozhi -உரà¯à®•à¯à®•à®¿à®©à¯à®± நெடà¯à®®à®¾à®²à¯‡. By doing so this friend of mine melts the Lord Himself. Actually the words are vurukkuginRa nedumAlEaà¯-உரà¯à®•à¯à®•à¯à®•à®¿à®©à¯à®± நெடà¯à®®à®¾à®²à¯‡' . Sri TCA Venkatesan svAmi reports from US: PBA Swami mentions in his magazine that one time in a goshti in Kanchi someone recited the third line of Thiruvaymozhi 9-9-11 as "avanai uNdu umizhndhavan"-அவனைஉணà¯à®Ÿà¯à®®à®¿à®´à¯à®¨à¯à®¤à®µà®©à¯ instead of "avani uNdu umizhndhavan" -அவனி உணà¯à®Ÿà¯à®®à®¿à®´à¯à®¨à¯à®¤à®µà®©à¯ மேல௠(mistakenly keeping with the start of the first 2 lines in the pasuram). Cunnappakkam Swami who was in the goshti is said to have remarked that it was on that day he found out that there someone who could swallow even Him-The one who had swallowed all the worlds.
