Sri:Srimathe Ramanujaya NamahaPriya Arangan Adiyar,Pray the Divine couple of Srirangam bless you & your family.Another charitable activity was wreathed by our Trust into the garland of

Emberumanar Darshanam.  Dharma Upanayanam was performed jubilantly for two children of Srimaan Gurukulam on 5th & 6th May 2009.  This expensive activity

was added newly in the contemplation of our Swami who always searches

for ways to help Srivaishnavas.  The function was performed in a grand way

– so that all could take great pleasure in it.

 The Trust planned to perform the Upanayanam

function of the two children, Suresh and Sailesh as a family function.  Invitations

were printed separately for both children individually and distributed

by their parents.  A combined invitation was also made and sent to

our donors and a number of prominent Srivaishnavas of Srirangam and

other places.  All the members of kainkaryasree considered it as their own family function and the result was amazing and

stupendous.

 The choultry was packed, with no room to enter on

both days with relatives and other guests of both children and well

wishers of Srimaan Trust also.  All the usual orthodox and customary

practices were observed – Goshti, Thadiyaradhana, Udhaka Shanthi,

Kumara Bhojanam, Yagnopaveeth Dharanam, etc.

 The function

started with Goshti of Divya prabhandham followed by Thadhiyaradhanai

and Udhaka Shanthi.  The Brahma Upadesam function was performed by two

Vadhiyar Swamis, representing each " kalai " . It was

a new experience for everyone, inviting, caring, serving, entertaining and attending

with hospitality.  One should have been there to

understand and feel the joy – everyone was a guest and everyone was a

host.  It became a get together for many and only

happiness was prevailing every where.

 The peak of the

function was also very pleasing and encouraging.  The students received blessings from various places as well as from the srivaishnavas assembled there.  Patrons, benefactors and well wishers of Srimaan

Trust proved once again that they are there to support the Trust in all

kainkaryams to Srivaishnavism and no barrier can block our progress in

any way.

 Acharyas and Azhwars should have been pleased with all the participants who joined in the kainkaryam by blessing the children. Divya Dampathi of Srirangam shall shower torrents of blessings to all of

them for a long, peaceful, happy, healthy and content life.
