Establishing His Supremacy with evidence:

(TirukurugUr-arcAvathArathil parathvam)

(à®…à®°à¯à®šà¯à®šà®¾à®µà®¤à®¾à®°à®¤à¯à®¤à®¿à®²à¯ பரதà¯à®µà®®à¯)

(திரà¯à®µà®¾à®¯à¯à®®à¯Šà®´à®¿ 4-10)

svAmi Azhagia maNavALap perumAL nayanAr in his great divine work 'AchArya Hrdhyam' lists out AzvAr-s TiruVaimohzi primarily intended to highlight the supremacy of the Lord. The Supreamacy is established in incarnations , through vedics verses , His auspisous qualities and in and from the arcAvathAram.

The TiruvAimohzi dedicated to Tiruk-kurughUr - is estblishing Supremacy in arcAvatAram.

The tenth TiruvAimozhi of the fourth ten succincty brings out this wonderful fact. Sri Adi nathar is not only to be worshipped by us, He is the one who created one and all (onRum thEAVum-ஒனà¯à®±à¯à®®à¯ தேவà¯à®®à¯) before which all were one (onRum-ஒனà¯à®±à¯à®®à¯- in subtle form). Not only did He create all but also those deities who are claimed to be supreme by several misinformed souls, are also created by Him.

The Lord can in one stroke elevate all the souls. However, keeping in mind the SAsthric prescriptions, He refrains from doing so.

He is the Supreme ,evidenced and proved by the history of kapAla mOksham - Brahma's head being plucked by Sivaperuman who then had to go on alms and ultimately EmperumAn had to come to his rescue-and releases the kapAlam which got stuck in rudrAs hand. He is the supreme proven by the fact of makanTeya maharishi's story of rudra prescribing that the rishi should approach EmperumAn.

This Lord AdinAthar still waits for all of us to realise His Supreamcy and awaits us eagerly ( ninRa Athip pirAn-niRka-நினà¯à®± ஆதிபà¯à®ªà®¿à®°à®¾à®©à¯ நிறக))

Let us all go and surrender unto Him. In fact AzvAr goes a step forward and prescribes just eulogoising this Divine Desam is itself enough (திரà¯à®•à¯à®•à¯à®°à¯à®•à¯‚ர௠அதனை உளமà¯à®•à¯Šà®³à¯ ஞனானதà¯à®¤à¯ வைமà¯à®®à®¿à®©à¯)

The relevant TiruvAimozhi nUtrandhAhip pAsuram summarises this in a nutshell:

onRumilai thEVu ivvulagam padaitha mAl anRi ena Arum aRiyavE..

Hungry, Hungrier and Hungriest

(திரà¯à®ªà¯à®ªà¯à®³à®¿à®™à¯à®•à¯à®Ÿà®¿, வரகà¯à®£à®®à®™à¯ˆ, ஸà¯à®°à¯€à®µà¯ˆà®•à¯à®£à¯à®Ÿà®®à¯)

(திரà¯à®µà®¾à®¯à¯à®®à¯Šà®´à®¿ 9-2)

A person was very hungry but had to wait for the food. The food was being prepared. He fist was taking rest reclining and then was more hungry and sat and finally became restless and stood.

The Lord, eagerly waiting for AzvAr was reclining at TiruppuLinkudi, sat at varaguNamangai and restlessly standing at SrivaikunTAm.

Awaiting AzvAr eagerly to reach the parama bakthi stage, EmperumAn is restless which is manifested in these three divya desam-s.

Child s Play

(தெனà¯à®¤à®¿à®°à¯à®ªà¯à®ªà¯‡à®°à¯ˆ)

(திரà¯à®µà®¾à®¯à¯à®®à¯Šà®´à®¿ 7-3)

A child was inadvertently running into a goshti but was sternly rebuked.

Any thing which comes easily to one is termed as child s play. Of course, here we are not talking of this. Vedic sacrifices, yagnams and such rituals were the order of the day at Then TiruppEAr.

The Lord who enjoys such vedic activities day in and day out, cherishes the chidren playing and does not consider it as a disturbance, rather he enjoys it to the extent that EmpeumAn is enjoying this boisterous atmosphere continuously.

AzvAr spotting this wonderful quality underlines the fact that the din of children playing is ceaseless at Then TiruppEar
