ERUDITE SCHOLAR’S MANGALASASANAM TO SRIMAAN BHATTAR GURUKULAM STUDENTS

Vidwan Prof. Sri. U. Ve. Arangarajan Swami, Madurai, paid a

pleasantful visit to our Gurukulam (08.Jul.09) on request from our

Founder.

 

Swami queried each child, of their name, family etc. and was very much

pleased to see the boys living happily. When the children told Swami

that they didn’t want to go home even for holidays Swami was

surprised. Swami told the story of Sri Krishna and his leela at

Gokulam and symbolically connected Sri Krishna with our Founder. Sri

Arangarajan Swami stated that Sri Krishna made association of a number

of children and the team was named Navaneetha Chola Mandalam who used

to go with Sri Krishna to steal butter from various places. Sri

Krishna would steal a number of butter pots and share it with his

friends as well as monkeys and cats.

 

Swami compared this incident with Sri. Badri Narayana Bhattar (Swami

virtually mentioned as Butter) Swami in gathering 17 children at our

Gurukulam and feeding them with knowledge and virtues from a number of

sources. And like the children would take butter after stomachful of

butter, Bhattar’s children take a heart full of Bhakthi.

The story continued for about one hour which the children absorbed

with rapt attention and interest. When Swami began to chant

Thirumadal some of the children joined him.

 

Swami blessed the children with mangalasasanams and expressed his

pleasure in meeting with them.
