Meaningful Reception for a Marriage Function

Priya Arangan Adiyars,Students of Srimaan Bhattar Kuzham and Srimaan Bhattar Gurukulam staged a series of programs for a marriage function – in the Archaka family of Thiruvellarai Temple. The programs were performed on 12th July-09.

The opening was by small kids singing Thaniyans and Thiruppallandu in their sweet melodious voices. It was followed by the Shudha Brahma song followed it with actually shudha pronunciation by girls in chorus. Jithanthe from Pancharathra Agama was delivered by Gurukulam boys which was appreciated by veterans of Agama as well as the public. Recitation of Sri Gunarathna kosham took place next by students, which fetched good applause from the audience. A few scenes from Koorathazhwan’s life were staged by students clad with glittering garments, disguises, and ornaments. The drama was simply superb and professional too. Applause from the audience was prolonged for this performance. A few verses from Thiruchandha Virutham were recited by Srimaan Bhattar Kuzham children with very sweet voices. A few verses from Thiruvirutham followed and were welcomed with much applause. Finally came the dance “Hari Manthram” which was prepared and practiced on one day only. But the performance of the girls was extraordinary and left no room for this secret to be discovered. The audience gave them a big hand in appreciation.

A number of children participated in these programs enthusiastically and the public appreciated their talents in various fields. The children exhibited what they learned in quite different ways and impressed the public to try to learn more. It is a success for the children of course, don’t you agree?

A number of requests have been flowing into the trust recently to conduct programs of our students during family functions and it really makes us very happy.
