A Very Special time for Thiruvallikeni/Chennai vasees

Srimathe ramanujaya NamahaSrimad Vara Vara munayE NamahaSri Vanachala maha munibhyO namahaDear Bhagavatas,You all might be aware that our revered acharyan HH Sri Kaliyan Vanamamalai Ramanuja Jeeyar swamy is undergoing chaturmasyam in Thiruvallikeni Mutt, chennai this year.  After 55 years chennai vasees have been blessed to be under the auspicious presence of Vanamamalai Jeeyar swamy for two months.  Here is the schedule of daily events .

Morning around 10.30 AM -Sri Pada theertham (Sri Swamy blesses all with Sri Pada theertham with His divine hands) followed by Samasrayanam, Sevai, Sattrumarai and dhadheeyaradhanam.Evening events start around 6.00 PM with Sahasranama chanting, Dolotsavam, theertham, followed by musical conserts or Upanyasams by various vidwans.  On Saturdays Sri Swamy will bless us all with His anugraha bhashanam.  Today there was a bonus.  The scheduled upanyasam got cancelled and so Sri Swamy gave a special talk on " Sudiyin solamudham " (Divine nectarine words of Sudi(nachiyar/Andal)).  It was a divine treat for all those blessed to be present to hear to Sri Swamy's lucid but excellent talk.  The day ends not just with " sevikku vunavu " (food to our ears) but " navikku amudhu " (prasadam).
