Koorthazhwan and Thirumazhisai Azhwar Nakshatra utsavam

Dear Bhagavathas,

 

Adiyen was extremely fortunate to join the sevai arranged by kinchitkaram trust

to Kooram and Thirumazhisai on Sunday 31st January to get the blessing of

Koorathazhwan and Thirumazhisai Azhwar.

 

We started around 8:30 am from west mambalam and reached kooram around 10:45

am.This small village suddenly saw an influx of a few thousand bhagavathas on

sunday from chennai and nearby places.There was a festive spirit in kooram when

we reached there.Just at the entrance to the street where the temple is located

we noticed a eye camp by hindu mission hospital in collaboration with

kinchitkaram trust.Across the street ThadiAradhanai was arranged.With the

massive crowd many of us struggled to get inside the temple .

 

Sri U Ve Velukkudi Svami's Upanyasam on pancha stava saaram was scheduled around

12:00 noon.Svami in his upanyasam explained how Koorathazhwan was the prime

exmaple of being the ideal shishyan and Aacharyan.Svami then spoke about each of

the pancha stavams explaining some of the selected verses from each of the

stavams.After the upanyasam and sevai of Aazhwan, Perumal and Thayar we left at

around 3:45 for Thirumazhisai.Vedics have bought out a nice book with excellent

photos on Koorthazhwan vaibhavam which was distributed to us on the way

alongwith a very nice poster. We reached Thirumazhisai around 5:15 pm and had

the sevai of perumal,Thayar and Azhwar.It was a great blessing to be at

Thirumazhisai on Thai Maham on Azhwar's Thirunakshatram.Svami spoke about

Azhwar's vaibhavam for a few minutes and after a satisfying sevai we left for

chennai.

 

It was adiyen's great bhagyam to participate in this sevai with the anugraham of

Koorthazwan and Thirumazhisaipiraan as all along my joining the sevai was

uncertain and i was depending on some cancellations!.
