It is our fortune that we are going to partake the AMRUTAM, the Vyakhyanam of Vishadavak

 

Shikhamani manavala Mamunigal of the greatest prabhandam “ Acharya Hridayamâ€.

 

As the name suggests, this prabahandam sets out clearly the doctrine of our siddantha as envisaged by

 

our Acharyas. The Adi Purusha of our prapanna kulam, Swami Nammazhwar in his four prabhandams

 

viz,

 

Tiruvirutam, Tiruvashiriyam, Peria Tiruvandadi & Tiruvoimozhi. We are indeed far more blessed

 

that this kalakshepam discourse is being rendered by none other than our beloved Swamy “ Divya

 

Prabhanda Divakararâ€, “ Sampradaya Sudhakarar†,“Divyartha Rathnanidhiâ€, Gyana Bhushananâ€

of Alwar Thirunagari, who needs no introduction.

Now about the author of this great work, “Anna Pukazh Mudumbai Azhagiya Manavala Perumal

 

Nayanar, the illustrious son of Vadukku Thiruveedi Pillai, the 15th Acharya in the guruparampai

 

commencing from Periya perumal. He was the younger brother of the inimitable Pillai Lokacharyar,

 

born by the grace of Azhagiya Manavalan, the presiding utsava murthy of Srirangam. The special

 

feature of this grantham is that almost all the words & sentences are taken from Nalayira divya

 

prabhandam,Ithihasa, & Puranas, except for a very few words/syllables used by the author to make

 

the churinai/sutra meaningful. It is like a great pearl necklace done by a master craftsman, pregnant

 

with divyarthas, praised by all our Acharyas as an incomparable master piece.
