Glories of Sri Koorathazhwan were recalled

on his 1000th year anniversary. Children of Srimaan Bhattar Kuzham

and Srimaan Bhattar Gurukulam paid their share of tribute to Sri Koorathazhwan

by staging a variety of programs which entertained the public remarkably.

The programs were performed on the

large stage in front of Srimadh Paramahamsedhyadhi Srirangam Sri Ranganarayana

Jeeyar swami mutt and in the presence of the Jeeyar swami. A debate on an interesting

and inviting topic, “which is the best way of service?â€- By lips? By mind? By body?

Or by material?†Was taken and the

children presented a series of points in each one’s favour. The debate kindled

everyone’s mind to know the answer.

Next, a drama on “the Glories of Sri

Koorathazhwan†was enacted by suitably dressed children. A number of incidents

of teachings of Sri Koorathazhwan, the most celebrated sacrificer and dignified

specimen of disciples were staged beautifully by the children. The drama, no

doubt, moved the hearts of most of the audience.

Following the drama, dances on “Athimanusha

Sthavam†and “Sri Nama Ramayanam†were performed by the gorgeously and

pleasingly dressed girls. The dances were performed in professional manner and

not in amateurish way.

The total programs took more than

3 hours and the Jeeyar swami was very graceful to see the programs up to the

end and to bless the children for their talents and the founder for his

efforts.
