Today we all were very fortunate to have been able to be in the presence of Acharyaswami on this full moon day of Ashadham. HH took deeksha for the Chaturmasyam. Sri Sri Sri Jeeyar Swamiji arrived in Hyderabad today morning and straight away proceeded to Shamshabad. He performed all the rituals associated with accepting the deeksha. After all those ceremonies HH was very kind to greet the thousands of devotees who came from long distances to have HH's darshan on this auspicious day with an enchanting smile and shower his mangalasasanams. Later HH personally gave theertham to all the devotees present. Our joy knew no bounds. He told us the speciality of this vyasa purnima. He released the book 'Acharya devo bhava' as a token of respect to our acharyas, which forms the curriculum of prajna. Tomorrow onwards HH is going to give Pravachan on SriRamayanam Ayodhya kanda for one and half hours followed by thirtha prasada goshti. HH suggested all the devotees to do parayanam of Sankshepa Ramayan, Sri Sthavam and Kantha Chatussloki everyday during the Chaathurmaasyam. Sri Rangaramanujacharyaswami in his discourse enlightened us on the glory of 'acharyachandra'. On the pournami day the moon is with sixteen kalas. Acharya too has sixteen kalas. Kala means - one that brings the Lord (kam) near to us. The moon showers its rays on each and every one or thing without any discrimination or partiality. So does the acharya chandra. He showers His 'vak rays' on all. He imparts jnana to all. He is the full moon. We surrender to Lotus feet of our dearest acharya who is none other than Bhagavad Ramanuja Himself. After reading your post about HH Jeeyar Swamiji's deeksha programme, we felt our presence in ashram (at Sriramnagaram). Where ever we are our hearts are in our acharya's divya sannidhi.
