Guest guest
Jai Srimannarayana! Srimathe Ramanujayanamaha! Some points from HH Jeeyar Swamiji’s Pravachan on August 1st 2007: We want to know the reasons for Why did we come here? What brought us here? What type of practice is needed? How to find out the answers for these? We also should know – How to lead our lives here. We take care of ourselves, while doing so we also manage to coordinate or cooperate with people related and others also. We are perturbed why different people behave in different ways with us. The way we lead our life must follow some guidelines that do not go against our sasthras. We are not the only ones in this world. There are many other different species on this earth. Since we have jnaanam and buddhi we need to know these things. We need to take care of our buddhi too like we do with our body. In this world everything keeps changing or transforming. It is never ending. So it is jagath – gachchathi ithi jagath. What is the reason? What is the jagathka:ranam? We need to know the reason as we are human beings. Imagine there is a precious treasure kept before you and a very little time granted to collect that. Then how fast do we work! Similarly is the jiva’s chance to be in this human body. We have to utilize our jnanam and learn how to live here. We need to know how much importance to be given to- iham and param. There is one that is absolute chethanam, there is insentient prakruthi and the jivas. Lord brings the prakrithi and the jivas together. We should know about the jagath kaaranam so that we can leave our burden on Him. Every kaanda in Sri Ramayanam tells us some aspect. Balakanda tells us how should one behave in the first stage of one’s life and about the jagath kaarana thathvam. In the young age one should be under the care of a guru. ***If the disciple does guru susrusha devotedly it transforms the disciple’s life. **** Rama never questioned guru Viswamithra anything. He just followed his directions with due respect. We see Rama doing Ahalya Sapa samanam, Siva dhanurbhangam, Parasurama garva bhangam etc. With the grace of Acharya those who cause hurdles in our path, those who wish to harass us would change their mentality. We become more determined in opposing the wicked and gain ability to stop them. In Balakanda Rama becomes a grihasthu and the kosala kingdom was his. But the whole earth had to come under his rule. He the Sreepathi now became the ‘bhupathi’. Ayodhya kanda tells this. To become a good ruler the kings needs to have some ‘gunas’ and qualifications. Ayodhya kanda expounds them. All the necessary auspicious attributes needed for a right king are enunciated in this kanda while We know about the nature of the jagath karana thathvam in the Baalakaanda.
