Guest guest
Jai Srimannarayana! Sri Raghunandana parabrahmane namaha! Today in Sri Ramayan ayodhya kanda pravachan HH explained the human weaknesses and corrupt natures of different people as revealed in the 11 and 12th sargas. We all know the river carries crystal clear water at the place of their origination but later on, as the springs of rain water join it, the water that was so clear till then, surely gets contaminated. Human nature how ever virtuous and good it might be gets polluted with the association and influence of wicked people’s thoughts. This becomes evident in the case of Kaikeyi who loved and adored Rama and his qualities, whose joy knew no limits on hearing the plans of his coronation as crown prince who turned vicious with the influence of her maternal servant Mandhara. She puts her king Dasaratha in a tight spot by making him promise her keeping the panchabhutas and devathas as evidence. She reiterates her point with all care lest he may go back on his word out of love on Ramachandra. She cites two episodes of the former kings of Ikshwaku dynasty who did not care for their lives even, to keep up their promises. King Sibi famous for his benevolence and fulfilling his promises, once had to cut off his own flesh from his chest to satiate an eagle there by saving the pigeon which took refuge at his feet. Once upon a time there was a ra:jarshi by name Alarka in the same vamsa. One day a blind Brahmin came to him and begged him to give him what he wanted. The king promised him so. The blind old man asked the king to put his eyes for him and give him sight. He did so not caring for the miserable life of a blind man and thus fulfilled his promise. He later attained higher worlds. Kaikeyi pesters Dasaratha to keep up his promise being born in the same vamsa which had such great selfless virtuous kings. We notice here that a king who donated his eyes to enable a blind person see the world attained ‘utthama gatis’ higher worlds. So there is evidence in Sri Ramayan that eyes can be donated without any apprehension what so ever. Jai Srimannarayana!
