Tirupati, December 12: Huge quantities of vegetables being donated

from time to time to the temple of Lord Venkateswara by the wholesale

vegetable vendors of Koyambedu (Chennai), Bangalore, Mysore,

Krishnagiri during the last three years has touched the 700 tonnes

mark.

 

The vegetables donated to the Lord as a mark of their devotion by the

vendors is being consumed by the TTD in the Tirumala temple and in

other places like its Nithya Annadanam canteen, Ramanuja Koodam,

Public Amenities Complexes etc to provide free food to the visiting

devotees. According to the TTD's Canteen Superviser, V.T.

Parthasarathy the TTD utilised in all these facilities about 5 to 6

tonnes of vegetables daily.
