Volunteer Opportunities in India through JET USA Inc. - Summer 2008

Dear All,

 

With the Mangalasasanams from His Holiness Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji,

JET USA Inc. is organizing a volunteer program in India during summer

of 2008. This opportunity is open to all young adults between ages 14

and 25. The program is available from June 30th to Aug 15, 2008.

Each individual can choose the service period from 2 weeks to maximum

of 7 weeks. JET India and Vikasa Tarangini in India will work with

the participants in allocation of tasks and providing facilities.

Vikasa Tarangini volunteers are assigned the responsibility of each

participant throughout the service period. At the end of the service

period, participants will assemble at the Jeeyar Ashram to attend

classes given by HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji or his disciples.

 

Volunteer Opportunities - Community Service:

Join our local volunteers and doctors in serving the community

through free medical camps.

Volunteer Opportunities - at our schools - Blind schools, Tribal

schools, Fishermens school, and Vedic schools:

Teaching subjects like English and Sciences, interacting with

students and sharing experiences, learning local skills etc.

 

This is a unique opportunity for all our youngsters to serve the

community in India through a controlled and safe environment. Program

participants have to reach Hyderabad (AP) on their own. The JET India

volunteers will recieve them at a predetermined location. At the end

of the program, they will be brought back to Hyderabad (AP).

 

Please spread the word through high schools and colleges, and

encourage the young adults to participate and take advantage of this

great opportunity. This is open to all youngsters.

 

Attached brochure explains program and registration details. Upon

receiving the interest and times, we will send the registration forms

with all the logistics.
