We are very happy to announce that His Holiness kindly consented to grace us in USA with his divine presence one more time. More joyously, it gives immense pleasure to announce that His Holiness is initiating a very noble, unique 'Prapanna Deeksha' in New Jersey on Saturday 12th July 2008. Those who would like to have darsan of Swamiji and get initiated for Prapanna Deeksha personally from His Holiness, please plan your travel now.

Prapanna Deeksha

In connection with birth centenary celebrations of His Holiness Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamiji and as a tribute to Him, Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji announced Prapanna Deeksha.

 

In this noble deeksha, an opportunity is given to perform Ashta:kshari Maha Manthra japam for one hour everyday in the morning and Sri Vishnu Sahasra Nama Sthothra parayanam in the evening.

 

Deeksha starts with initiation by Sri Swamiji on 12th July 2008 and ends with the conclusion of Birth Centenary celebrations of Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamiji in 2009 - one year long approxly.

 

Those who have taken Ashta:kshari (Narayana) Manthra upadesam, from Sri Swamiji or from any other Acharya, can chant Ashta:kshari maha manthram everyday one hour in the morning during the deeksha period. Approximately it takes 22 minutes to perform 1000 count japam. In an hour, one can complete 3000 count japam everyday. Continuing for one year, each person will complete 10 lakhs count japam.

 

Those who have not taken Ashta:kshari manthra from an acharya, but received other manthras, they can chant the manthra received by them instead of ashta:kshari.

 

As Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamiji attached utmost importance for anushtha:nam (practicing what we have learnt), it is befitting to celebrate His birth centenary by concentrating on the divine manthra given to us by our beloved acharya, understand its meaning and enjoy the qualities of Lord and Acharya.

 

Everyday in the evening we can keep a 'mangala jyothi' with a small prayer, chant Sri Vishnu Sahasra Nama Sthothram, a small bhajan and learn meanings of 2/3 namas.

 

This is a life time opportunity anyone can get, to perform Manthra Japam in a collective fashion with thousands of fellow devotees, just like Virat Vishnu Sahasra Nama Parayanam. With the grace of our acharya we can easily cross 100 crore mark for Manthra Japam and Nama Sankeerthanam within this one year. It is not hard at all to spare 1 hour of our time everyday, if we are determined.

 

It is our responsibility to show our gratitude to the Manthra, the Lord and the Acharya by our sincere anushtha:nam. Let us all take part in it.
