With HH's grace we could participate in the Thirunakshatram celebrations of our

dear Acharya at Sithanagaram. The previous day Diwali was celebrated with all

pomp and grandeur. You can see some of the pictures of HH Swamiji worshiping

Mother Mahalakshmi on the eve of Diwali in the evening. HH Swamiji spoke on the

importance of Divine Mother's worship and her compassion in granting all our

wishes. There was the initial firing of crackers by the youngest vedic students

before Lord Sriramachandra much to the amusement of the devotees, who sat packed

in the tirthasadan. We were given thirtham, prasadam and the puja kumkum by the

vedic students and we all proceeded to the ground to witness the grand show of

crackers. HH Swamiji and Ahobila

swami enjoyed the show, while the devotees enjoyed their acharya's presence

there! You can see some of the pics taken that time.

 

Next day early in the morning HH greeted the vidyarthies and devotees who

assembled to greet him. For the first time in the history, just to grace the

devotees, HH allowed us all to sit and witness Ammagaru applying oil on his head

and do mangalaharathi singing two soft songs for the newly born. She did the

same to Ahobilajeeyar swami too who sat by his side. Some students had presented

HH with cards made by them with love and affection. In the morning goshti it

took more than three hours for HH to give thirtham to all devotees personally.

HH Swamiji came on to the dais to bless us with his darsan and present the

puraskaram to BramhaSri Vishnu Bhatla Subrahmanya Sastri garu. Many dignitaries

were there. Sri Rangaramanujacharya swami introduced every one on the dais with

a special introduction of the scholar BramhaSri Vishnu Bhatla Subrahmanya Sastri

garu. The award was conferred with all vedic honours and special citation by

Swamiji. Some of the Yajurveda students were given scholarship awards. Many

scholars sang Swamiji's glories and accomplishments.

 

In the pravachan HH gave some guidelines to the devotees and blessings to go

ahead with their services to all human beings as service to the divine and

warned not to neglect 'swi:ya araadhana' while giving respect to all others. He

spoke on many points. Some photos of all the swamis taken that time can be seen.

Every one gave a brief message. Ahobila Jeeyar Swami monitored this part of the

program.

 

The whole ashram was fully packed by devotees who came from far and wide and the

entire atmosphere reverberated with Jaisrimannarayana and Swamiji ki Jai!
