Guest guest
Sri:|Srimathe Ramanujaya Nama:ha Thiruppavai and Divyadesams #8 Jai Srimannarayana! Pasuram: Keezh Vanam Divyadesam: Thiruvaththiyur The divyadesam of Thiruvaththiyur is Sri Hastishailam - that is, Kanchipuram Varadaraja Perumal Kovil. In this pasuram, the key phrase is " de:va:di de:vaniah senru na:m se:viththa:l " . " de:va:di de:van " is Lord Varadaraja, who is also known as Deva Perumal. In Thiruppavai, in the ten pasurams starting with Pullum Silambinaka:n Andal wakes up the ten Azhvars. In that, it is Swami Nammazhvar who is woken up in this pasuram. Nammazhvar when starting his first prabandham Thiriviruththam calls to Deva Perumal as " imaiyo:r thalaiva: " and speaks of Him again at the beginning of his last prabandham Thiruvaymozhi as " ayarvarum amarargal athipathi " . Thus, the divyadesam of Thiruvaththiyur is experienced by Andal in this pasuram. Azhvar Emberumanar Jeeyar Thiruvadigale Sharanam adiye:n madhurakavi da:san Jai srimannarayana!
