Guest guest
Sri:|Srimathe Ramanujaya Nama:ha! Jai Srimannarayana! Thiruppavai and Divyadesams pasuram: Etra Kalangal Divyadesam: Thirukkannamangai & Thirunarayanapuram There are two divyadesams that are appopriate to experience through this pasuram. In this pasuram, let us take the word " periyy:y! " as key. When singing about Thirukkannamangai, right at the begining Thirumangai Azhvar sang " perum purakkadalai " (Periya Thirumozhi 7-10). When finishing this ten and rendering the phala sruti, he sang " vinnil vinnavara:y magizhveydhuvar " , stating the lofty status that His devotees will reach. Sri Krishna who destroyed the enemies ( " ma:rra:r unakku vali tholaindhu " ) did so with the sound of His conch, Panchajanya ( " parra:r nadungka mun pAnjchachanniyaththai va:y vaiththa po:re:re:! " , " sa gho:sho: dha:rtara:shtrana:m hrudaya: nivyadha:rayat " ). When addressing the Lord of Thirukkannamangai, Thirumanagi Azhvar says " vensangkam onre:ndhiya kanna! " - Periya Thirumozhi 7-10-10). To experience Thirunarayanapuram, let us take " perum pasukkal a:rrap padaiththa:n magane:! " as the key phrase. That is " yatira:ja sampat kuma:ra:! " . Yatiraja is Swami Ramanuja who had great scholars who were like cows in front of him ( " perum pasukkaL a:rrap padaiththa:n " ). And the Lord of Thirunarayanapuram is his son ( " magan " ). Additionally, the phrase " ulaginil tho:trama:y ninra sudare:! " is appropriate for Thirunarayanapuram as well. It was here that the Lord was hidden in an anthill and then came forth showing Himself to the world. Thus, the divyadesams of Thirukkanamangai and Thirunarayanapuram are experienced in this pasuram. Azhvar Emberumanar Jeeyar Thiruvadigale Sharanam Jai Srimannarayana! adiyen madhurakavi dasan.
