Ogha means a flood or stream, here multitudes. sugandhina: fragrant sarvathah –on all sides samvrutha:h- covered sailah – the mountain babhou-shone pushpamayah- as being made of flowers 14. the:na cha utthamavi:rye:na pi:dyama:nah sa parvathah| salilam samprasusra:va madam mattha iva dvipah|| Being pressed by Hanuman the super valiant, that mountain emitted water like an elephant in rut emitting rut juice. the:na pi:dyama:nah- being pressed by utthama vi:ryena- Hanuman who was utthama virya supremly valiant sa parvatahh- that mountain samprasusra:va- emitted. The word is from he root sr-srav to flow salilam- waters in the form of waterfalls. salathi gacchathi ithi sallam, that which goes or runs. iva- like mattha dhvipah - mad elephant or an elephant in rut. Elephant is called dhvipa as it drinks with both trunk and mouth. Dhvaahyaam pibathi ithi dhvipah. A tree is also called as such because it takes water both by its roota and leaves. madam- rut juice 15. pi:dyama:nasthu balina: mahendrah the:na parvathah| ri:thi:h rnirvarthaya:ma:sa kanchana:njana ra:jathi:h|| Being pressed by the mighty Hanuman the Mahendra mountain displayed streaks of gold, iron and silver from the ores. mahendrah parvathah –the Mahendhra mountain pi:dyama:nh- being pressed balena – by the mighty Hanuman nirvarthaya:ma:sa- brought out rethe- lines or streaks of kanchana anjana ra:jathish gold, iron and silver. The ores of gold , iron and silver were visible since the mineral rocks were pressed and split. 16. mumo:cha sa sila:h saila:h visa:la:h samanassila:h| madhyamena archisha: jushtah dhu:maraji:h iva: analah|| The mountain also gave forth huge rocks of red colour which when being burst appeared like the smoke from a medium flame of the fire. Sa Sailah- that mountain mumocha- gave out vis:al:ah- huge sumanassillah- rocks of red (called manassila:) dhu:mara:ji:h iva – like the columns of smoke (emitted by) analah- fire jushtah- associated with madhyamena -medium sized archisha: – flame. The huge rocks of red colour split by the pressure from the feet of Hanuman, created a column of dust which looked like the smoke from a medium sized fire. Medium sized because if it were small there will be black smoke and if it were large there will not be any smoke. 17.girina:pi:dyama:nena pi:dyama:na:ni sarvathah| guha:vishta:ni bhu:tha:ni vinedhuh vikruthaih svaraih|| By the mountain being pressed , the creatures living in the caves were pressed all around and let out screams of fear. bhu:tha:ni- the living beings guha:vishta:ni- residing in the caves peedyamaanaani- being pressed sarvathah-on all sides pi:dyama:nena girina - by the mountain under pressure vineduh – shouted. From nadh to sound, with vi vikruthaih svaraih—with distorted sound. Svara means voice or sound 18. sa maha:satthva sanna:dhah sailapi:da:nimitthajah| prithivi:m pu:raya:ma:sa disascha upavanani cha|| The great noise of the creatures due to the pressure on the mountain filled the earth in all directions and also the forests nearby. mahaa sathva sannadah- the great noise of the creatures. maha: governs sanna:dah. Meaning great noise. Saila peeda nimitthajah- created due to, nimitthajah, the pressure of the mountain, sailapi:da. pu:raya:ma:sa- filled prthiveem- the earth, disah cha- the directions and upavana:ni cha – the forests nearby.
