Srimathe Ramanujayanamaha!

 

119. athithih kila po:ja:rhah pra:kritho: pi vija:natha:

dharmam jijna:sama:nena kim punar thva:drirso: maha:

 

 

By one who wants to know and by one who knows dharma the guest, even if

ordinary, deserved to be honoured. What else could be for a great person like

you.

 

Jijna:sama:nena - on who wishes to know

Vija:nathaa- one who knows

Dharmam- dharma,

athithih -the guest

pra:krtho api- even if he is a common man

po:ja:rhah- deserves to be worshipped.

kim punah - what more is there (to be said )

maha:n - ( in the case of ) a great person

thva:dhriso - such as you.

 

 

 

120. thvam hi devavarishtasya ma:ruthasya maha:thmanah

puthrah thasya eva vege:na sadhrisah kapikunjara

 

 

 

You are the son of great Vayu, the best among the devas, oh! the elephant among

the monkeys, and you are equal to him in speed also.

 

 

 

thvam - you

puthrah - the son

ma:ruthasya- of Vayu , the wind god,

maha:thmanah - the great

dhevavarishtasya- the best among devas

kapikunjara- oh elephant among monkeys,

sadrusah -(you) are equal

thasya eva- to him only

ve:gena - in speed.
