Jai srimannarayana Bharathji!

We usually call every person with a respectable term as sriman or sreeman. This

is to say that they should always flourish with sri means good wealth. This

wealth refers to physical wealth, monitory wealth or any potentiality in that

sense.

When we talk in terms of spirituality, this refers to the Divine Grace of

Goddess Maha Lakshmi. Wherever Her Graces falls that becomes wealthy, right, so

Sriman word is used there as well.

You can call one as sripada which means the divine foot of the Lord. This person

is like that lotus foot of the Lord, or something like that. But that is not

much in use of Acharyas.

The prefix you wanted to add before addressing a person, right!. It is so

interesting.

In fact, it is different when you address different persons. If it is a boy or

a girl, you need to address them as chiranjeeva, if it is a married woman, she

must be addressed sowbhagyavathi, if it is a widow, she must be ganga ka:ve:ri

samanuralaina.. as a matter of fact, sriman/srimathi can be used to all

irrespective of their status.

Q)

1) Generally we call a devotee with " Srimaan " . What is the exact meaning of that

" Sreemaan " .

2) Can we call a devotee with the prefix as Sripad. Like Sripad Ramana Garu Like

that.....

3) What are the words does Sastra mentions that can be prefixed before a

devotee's name when we are adressing (sambodhana) them...

Please enlighten me.....In the service of vaishnavas,

Bharath Radhekrishna.Chennu

Vijayawada.
