The number of gallant soldiers in our army is limited whereas valiant pandava soldiers are vast in numbers. That’s why even though Bhishma is protecting our army, I feel it is not capable enough to defeat the pandava forces. The Pandava army under the care of Bhima appears to be swallowing us all up. (defeating us.) (Duryo:dhana is upset because Bhishma who took oath that he would never harm Pandavas is heading his army. Bhima who took a vow he would never leave a single kaurava to live is standing in front of him. Seeing all this he became worried that defeat is certain.) 11. ayane:shu cha sarve:shu yattha:bha:ga mavasthitha:h | Bhi:shmame: va:bhirakshanthu bhavantha ssarva ae:vahi || ‘Heh! Guruvarya! Bhishma would attack only the army force of pandavas. He will not hurt the Pandavas. But Pandavas would definitely try to harm Bhishma.
