Immediate Flood Relief Activities by VT in the worst affected areas of Mahaboobnagar and Kurnool Districts

The heavy floods, at record level, in the Kurnool and

Mahaboobnagar districts of Andhra Pradesh India very badly affected lakhs of

people and also the cattle. VT immediately responded to this cause to

render the possible seva. Many kind hearted devotees have come forward to

volunteer / contribute to the extent they can. However, VT has taken up

this ordeal with the dedicated volunteers. You too can participate in this

endeavour by the way of contribution or service !

 

HH Sri Chinnajeeyar Jeeyar Swamiji rushed to few villages,

gave them moral courage and also distributed kits with vessels and food

material to those victims on 6th Oct 09. Grass was also taken in tractors

for the sake of feeding the cattle.

 

Whole VT mission is pressed into this service and the

President as well as members along with volunteers assured to Sri Swamiji

that every effort would be made to render services to the best possible

extent. However, Swamiji gave directions to the team, arranged material

for distribution and left to USA on 7th

 

AT VIJAYAWADA AND GUNTUR:

Under the guidance of HH Sri Chinnajeeyar Swamiji, HH

Ahobila Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji went along with VT Volunteers from Guntur

and Vijayawada to different villages towards Amaravathi and distributed

food, water, blankets etc. People were sitting crowded along the high

land humps while their houses were totally drowned in waters. Though Govt.

machinery is helping the people, there are places inside the waters where

there is little help. VT reached such places too and distributed food

packs, water etc.

 

Houses of many People in low lying areas near to Krishna

river along the Sitanagaram, Tadepalli were all drowned. Our Sitanagaram

Asramam is providing food and shelter for them.

 

AT HYDERABAD AND OTHER PLACES

 

From 5th onwards VT volunteers from various places are

doing their best service in serving the Flood victims under the guidance of

HH Sri Chinnajeeyar Swamiji.
