Guest guest
Wish you all a Happy yugadi. (Just attempting an English translation of HH's Yugadi message with my limited knowledge for the benefit of English speaking devotees.) ---- Dear devotees! Sri:mathe: narayan’aya namaha! With lots of mangalasasanams! May the unconditional kindness of Sriyahpathi enable us all to lead a happy comfortable life! May the grace of A:charyas shine bestowing eternal bliss. Let us all bid farewell to the past year ‘Virodhi’! Let us all heartily welcome the new year ‘Vikruthi’, the ‘ka:la svaru:pa’ the time which is all pervading as if testing our nature. Bhagavan is the untiring ever active ‘Time Machine’(kalaswarupa) who never looks forward for anybody’s compassion or sympathy. Every being has to get adjusted into his fold. None can ever go against him. Even devathas like Brahma, Rudra or Indra and the sages or rishis have to bow down and be submissive before the ‘Time Form’ of Bhagavan. There is nothing they can do independently. Lord Sriyahpathi rules the incessant traveler the 'TIME’ just like He does with His body which is of course under his complete control and command. He assures a comfortable, hassle free satisfying life to those who cooperate - as said – ‘kaalaha kalayaam asmi’– ‘ I am the ONE who transforms everything.’ He declares to those who antagonize Him by going against him “kaalo:smi lo:ka kshayakrith pravrutthaha” – that He would suppress the evil nature from the entire universe. He intends that we should be ready for the execution. To provide proper knowledge to all his devotees he took the form of ‘vyu:ha Vasudeva’ ,the origin for the numerous incarnations, before the starting of the Creation itself. He arrived in the Ikshvaku Vamsa and became their beloved Lord and received their ardent worship. Through Srirama the gem of the Ikshvaku dynasty he reached Vibheeshana. Elated at his pure devotion, he settled in between the Kaveri rivers facing the South direction watching Vibheeshana’s kingdom. He is adored as Sri Ranganatha, the loving compassionate Lord for his devotees. Our ancestors believe that in the beginning the yuga started on the day of his appearance on this planet earth and the counting of time started since then. Hence we consider his incarnation as His Thirunakshatram or Birthday festival. We are being dragged down by the effect of different flavors/tastes the life shows us forgetting the Lord Himself who came down for our sake. To escape from such pitiable situation we pray to the compassionate ‘Kaala Svarupa’ Bhagavan to give us strength to face the vicissitudes of life. We do Panchanga sravanam to capacitate us to go ahead in life protecting the strong armor of ‘jna:na’. Getting ready for that, we take oil bath in the beginning washing off our past impressions. (To be contd....) Jai Srimannarayana!
