Nine days on Cloud Nine

My name is srikant, an insignificant devotee of Swamiji at Visakhapatnam, India.

With abundant grace and compassion on our city, HH has decided to make this

place his abode for Vasantha navarathas. Visakhapatnam is on Cloud nine for 9

days. Daily in the morning after theertha goshti, we got the fortune to read

sundarakanda with his holiness, after each sarga, swamiji explained the meaning

of it. The process was followed by purnaahuti at main yagasala and at ishtisala

and then thadiyaradhana (dasa had the fortune of performing vainateya ishti on

the third day wherein myself and my wife could get mangalasasanams of His

holiness and could introduce my wife , sailaja, to his holiness. She feels her

place in paramapadam is confirmed as swamiji inquired about her). It was a great

experiance to hear panchanga sravanam from his holiness. We were also fortunate

to have swamiji's discourse, preceeded by sri Ahobila Jeeyar swamiji's discourse

on ramayana in the evening, except on the first day. It is a great fortune for

us to attend these discourses at the same venue where U.Ve. Sriman Sribhashyam

Applacharya Swamiji used to give the discourses. Swamiji explained in lucid

language with examples about various role models in Ramayana. While the second

and third days HH explained about Sri Rama, the 4th day he lectured on

Viswamitra as baala, 5th day he talked about the seshathva of Lakshmana, 6th day

about parathanthra nature of Bharatha, 7th day about bhaagavatha bhakthi of

Shatrughna and finally about the greatness of acharya. The last day the devotees

had the fortune to take part in Sri Rama kalyanam under the direction of his

holiness. The nine day uthsavam has concluded soon. We, the citizens of

visakhapatnam can just pray that we get such blessings more often.
