Today (Panguni Pushyam) is the Centenary Thirunakshatram of Srimath

Thirukkudanthai Andavan. In New York, Sri Ramanuja Mission of Srirangam Srimad Andavan Ashramam will be celebrating the thirunakshatram on April 1, 2007. Sri Ranganatha Temple has kindly consented to be the host of the Centenary thirunakshatram celebrations of this illustrious Srivaishnava Acharya Srimath Thirukkudanthai Andavan. April 1 this year is very special as it is the day of Panguni Uthiram (Sri Mahalakshmi's Thirunakshatram), which is a very important day for Srivaishnavas. It is the birth day of Sri Mahalakshmi and the avatharam day of Sri Ramanuja's Gadyatrayam. This along with centenary celebrations of a very illustrious Srivaishnava Acharya makes it a very rare day and not to be missed. There will be grand 81 kalasa special Thirumanjanam for Sri Ranganatha and Sri Mahalakshmi, Thirumanjanam for Srimadh Andavan Ashramam's Venugopala Perumal all amidst grand recitation of Vedam, Divya Prabhandham, Sri Desika Sthothram, Srimath Ramayanam, Gadya Trayam and Sri Paduka Sahasram. This will be followed by Paduka Aradhanam for Srimath Thirukkudanthai Andavan's Paduka.
