STATEMENT ON 1000TH SRI SUDARSANA YAGNA AT KURUKSHETRA. The 1000th Sri Sudarsana Yagna, Sri Geetha Yagna and Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Japa Yagna were conducted at Kurukshetra for 5 days from 28th Feb to 4th March 2007 in a very grand scale. Devotees are well aware that, during the 108th Sri Sudarsana Yagnam held at Srirangam in the year 1998, HH Andavan Swamigal of Srirangam Periya Ashramam blessed the Samithi with His divine instruction to conduct 1008 Sri Sudarsana Yagnas as Sri Sudarsana is having "Sahashraara" . As per His blessings & guidence,The Samithi started

again to conduct 1008 Sri Sudarsana Homam all over the World and competed 1000 Yagnas. HH Srimad Parama Hamsa Parivrajakacharya Sri Appan Parakala Ramanuja Embar Jeeyar Swamigal of Sri Perumbudur Has graced and lead the Yagna & Geetha Parayana. Hundreds of devotees from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka & Delhi participated in the yagna. The Ankurarppanam was held on 28th Feb 07 with the blessings of Rain God. Daily Morning & Evening, Sri SudarsanaYagna, Veda, Divyaprabandha Sri Sudarsana Sataka Parayanam were conducted at the yagna Shala built at Sri Jayaram Vidyapeeth. With the Avabritha Snanam at Brahma Sarovar, the 1000th Yagna was concluded. The

pravachanam on Githa was conducted in Tamil by HH Embar Jeeyar Swamigal, Vidwan Sri Arangarajan Swamigal of Karaikkal, Vidwan Sri Totadri Iyengar swami from Vanamamalai, Vidwan Satagopachariar Swamigal from Vanamamalai. The discourse in Kannada was by Vidushi Smt. Rama Srinivasan of Bangalore. On 3rd March, Mass Chanting of Srimad Bhagawad Geetha was conducted at the Geetha Janma Bhumi in the very divine temple of Sri Geethacharya – Sri Krishna Paramatma. Chanting of Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Stotram at Sri Bheeshma Pitamaha Temple, the Origin of Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Sotram was highly remarkable event. Sriman Jayarama Iyer, Vice President of All India Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Federation, Chennai was conferred the title of “Abhinava Bheeshmacharya” by Sri Sudarsana Yagna Samithi and felicitated by HH Embar Jeeyar Swamigal. Smt. Latha Ramanujam of Nanganallur, and Smt. Sowmiya of Anna Nagar were also felicitated in appreciation of their zeal and commitment for the promotion and propagation of Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Stotram and Religious / Social activities. On the eve of Chadra Grahanam, The Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Japa yagna was conducted and all devotees took the holy dip in the Brahma Sarovar at the end of the Grahanam. After

concluding the highly memorable Yagna and Yatra at Kurukshetra, all devotees left for Mathura by Train. We all had darshan of Sri Krishna at Mathura, Brindavan, Gokulam, Barsana Dham, Nanda Goan, Radha Kund and Govardhana Giri. The participants returned to Chennai / Bangalore on 8th March 2007 and the yatra concluded with the sweet and divine experience with the grace of Sri Krishna. The following devotees were the Mukhya Yajaman ( Major Sponsors ) of the 1000th Yagna at Kurukshetra. We conducted the Maha Sankalpam in their name and offered special prayer to Sri Krishna who is being worshipped in the form of Sri Sudarsana. Smt. Manorama

I wanted to attach some of the photograph taken during the yagna but could not do so because of my limited ability to utilize the net services. I will take the help of some one and will attach the photos shortly. The 1001st Sri Sudarsana Yagna was also conducted at Jaipur, Rajashtan for 3 days from 15th to 17th March 2007 and had holy Snanam at Pushkar on Surya Grahanam day and Ugadi was celebrated at Sri Rangaji Mandir, Pushkar, Rajashtan. After completing the remaining 6 yagnas, the 1008th Sri Sudarsana Yagna will be conducted at Brindavan of Gopee Jana Vallabha – Sri Krishna for 5 days from Vijaya Dasami to Sarat
