Dear Srimad Ramanuja dAsA's and bhAgavathAs::

adiyEn namaskArams to all::

 

AdiyEn would continue from the last mail. Sri ALavandhAr had selected

Periya Nambigal from his five pradhAna sishyAs (Periya Nambigal,

Thiruk kOttiyUr nambigal, Periya Thirumalai Nambigal,

ThirumAlaiyANDAn, Thiruvaranga PerumALaraiyar) and instructed him to

brought IlaiyAzhwar from Kancheepuram and make IlaiyAzhwar as " Darsana

Pravarthakar " .

 

After hearing that, Sri ALavandhAr was in anthima dhasai, two Sri

VaishNavAs from Thiruk Kacchi reached Sri Rangam and met Sri

ALavandhAr. ALavandhAr enquired about the status of IlaiyAzhwar. They

replied that, IlaiyAzhwar was no more with yAthavaprakAsar group.

After hearing this, ALavandhAr became happy and instructed Periya

Nambigal to bring IlaiyAzhwar to Sri Rangam. Hence as per AchArya's

command, Periya Nambigal, left to Kanchipuram.

 

Periya Nambigal reached Kanchipuram and met Thiruk kacchi nambigal and

informed about ALavandhAr's manOratham. Both of them was happy and had

darshan of Kanchi pEraruLAla perumAL. After the mangaLAsAsanam, Periya

Nambigal stood on the path of IlaiyAzhwar, where IlaiyAzhwar used to

took theertham from sAlai kinaRu to thiruk kachchi. Periya nambigal

chanted the " SthOthra Rathanam " of ALavandhAr " brahmAs sivas

sadhamakaha:....... " . By hearing that slOkam, IlaiyAzhwar questioned

the author of that slOkam to Periya Nambigal. Periya nambigal

explained the prabhAvam of Sri ALavandhAr - his AchAryar and

IlaiyAzhwar grew interested to meet his AchAryar Sri ALavandhAr. Both

reached Perarulalan sannidhi and explained about the instance to

Thiruk kachchi nambigal and started journey towards Sri Rangam.

 

While at that same time, Sri ALavandhAr was at andhima sarama dhasai,

had left to thiru nAdu- parama padham-. When both of them reached

Thiru karamban padithurai, watched the group of peoples and inquired

about the incidence. After hearing that Sri ALavandhAr had left to

Paramapadam, both Periya Nambigal and IlaiyAzhwar couldn't able to

withstand and digest the situation, but even though Periya nambigal

took IlaiyAzwAr to had darshan of his AchArya's vimaLa sarama

thirumEni. After that, we know IlaiyAzhwar made three promises by

seeing the three fingers of Sri ALavandhAr in folded condition.

 

By grievance IlaiyAzhwar returned to Kanchipuram without the darshan

of Sri Rangam Periya PerumAL!

 

This was the FIRST ATTEMPT made by Periya Nambigal to bring

IlaiyAzhwar to SriRangam and made him as " Darsana Pravarthakar " as per

Sri ALavandhAr's command.

 

AdiyEn would explain the second attempt made by Periya Nambigal in

next mail.

 

If there's any mistake in contents or in meaning, it's purely adiyEn's
