Dear KrishNa BhakthAs :

There are 108 plus 1 delectable slOkams in the second

section of SrI KrishNa KarNAmrutham . These slOkams

house the exquisite anubhaavms of SrI LeelA Sukhar and are

steeped in his KrishNa Bhakthi in the tradition of

PeriyAzhwAr , Srimath BhAgavatham and a host of

other KrishNa PrEmis . Let us enjoy them now:

2.1 May Lord KrishNaa fulfil our heart's desires !

paridhigdham, bhuvana-kruchracchEdhi , tApinccha-gucchachavi ,

nava-pincchaa-laanchitham MurArE: mugdham angam

na: vaanchitham diSathu !

( Commentary ): The poet enjoys the anga soundharyam

( the extraordinary beauty of the limbs ) of Baala KrishNan

engaged in His leelaas and prays for the fulfilment of

his heart's desires through the firm retention in his mind

of the beauty of the Lord's divine form that he is visualizing .

The prayer of Leela Sukhar is " MurArE: mugdham

angam na: vaanchitam diSathu". The Lord's divine

body ( ThirumEni) known for its saamudhrikaa lakshaNams

is saluted as " mugdham angam " . He is the fulfiller of

whatever we long for (manOraTam) with devotion .

He is VaanchithArTa PradhAyaka Varadhan . He showers

His SaraNAgathAs ( those who seek refuge at His sacred feet)

with all that they desire including Moksha siddhi that

He alone can bless them with .

Inundated by the waves of bliss ( Aanandha Lahari) ,

Leelasukhar describes to us the anga soundharyam

of the Lord engaged in His Baala chEshtai ( youthful pranks)

this way : The body of the Lord is shining with the smearing

of the fresh navaneetham ( butter from churned milk mixed

with sugar ) . Baala KrishNan is engaged in stealing

this navaneetham from neighbor's houses and during these

acts of gobbling up the navaneetham before the owner of

the house catches Him , He spills some of the radiantly white ,

freshly churned butter balls (navaneetham ) on His body

and face . His ThirumEni ( sacred body) is thus shining with

the specks of fresh navaneetham ( abhinava navaneetha

snigdham angam) as tell-tale signs of His navaneetha chOram

( srealing navaneetham) . Leelaa Sukhar is about to sing

" Nanda Nandana Govindhaa ! Navaneetha chOraa Govindhaa !".

Leelaa Sukhar now finds Baala KrishaNa active in helping

Himself with mouthfuls of milk ( Aapeetha dugdham angam )

to wash down the hastily swallowed balls of navaneetham .

Drops of milk have also spilled now over His limbs . He wnats

to know what else is available in that house for consumption

and spots a vessel containing curds ; Our Lord puts His tender

hands inside that vessel and tastes the dense and delectable

chunks of curd stored there . Few of those chunks of curd

also fall all over His beautiful body ( dadhikaNa-paridigdham

mugdham angam) .

Leelaa Sukhar's gaze now moves over to the Siras ( head) of

the Lord engaged in the sport of helping Himself in a hurry

with delectable navaneetham , milk and curd . What does

he see there ? He witnesses the auspicious face that cuts

down the inauspiciousness ( krucchram ) of the world

( bhuvana krucchra-chEdhi) ; the head of the Lord shines

with dense and beautiful , bluish-black tresses of wavy hair

adorned with a new peacock feather ( nava Sikhi-pinchaa

laanchitham angam) . Leelaa Sukhar is reminded of the bunch

of blossoms of flowers of a new tree (taapinccha-gucchacchavi) ,

when he enjoys the dense and shiny tresses of the Lord .

The tresses are adorned beautifully with the eye of a new peacock

feather ( nava-Sikhi-pincchaa laanchitham) .

Leelaa Sukhar prays in this slOkam to this

Nava Mohana Sundaraanga Baala KrishNan

for conferral of all the boons that we desire

( na: Vaanchitham diSathu ) .
