Guest guest
Sri: Sri Lakshmi nrisimha parabrahmaNE nama: Sri Lakshmi nrisimha divya paduka sevaka srivan satakopa sri narayana yatindra mahadesikaya nama: As announced last week at the end of the upanyasam, the next upanyasam will be on August 14th, 99 at 11:30 a.m. Eastern time. If you wish to register please send me an e-mail. The pass code will be sent only to those who register. The topic of the upanyasam is continuation of Kanninunsiruththaambu. At the present time Srimad Azhagiya Singar is covering just one line each time. Jeeyar is covering several commentaries including NanjIyar, NammpiLLai, PeriyavAchchAn piLLai, azhagiya maNavALa perumAL nAyanAr, and ThampirAn padi, with unique examples that even common people can understand. At such a leisurely pace, the kalakshEpam is very much like studying directly under the divine feet of an Acharya in person in India. For August 14th the topic is " dhEvu maRRaRiyEn kurukoor nambi " . Last time Jeeyar covered the second line of the second verse, " mEvinEn avan pon adi meymmaiyE " . We can never forget the explanation about why Madurakavi was not attracted to the pavana feet of our Lord that touched everyone without discrimination, but was attracted to the " pon adi " of Nammaazhvar. The humor Jeeyar brings into the upanyasam is exceptional and unparalleled. Recall Jeeyar's explanation for the reason why Nammazhvar refers to the feet of even devathanthra as " adi " ? What is truly amazing is the way HH feels about the upanyasams. Last Sunday adiyEn had the opportunity to speak with Srimad Azahgiya Singar immediately after the upanyasam was over. Jeeyar expressed happiness about the upanyasam. Srimad Azhagiya Singar said, (paraphrasing), " I go to bed most nights with my mind burdened by the difficulties of Matam administration. But, today, after the upanyasam I am going to bed with my heart filled with happiness. " All of ubhaya vibUthi is not sufficient prathi-upakAram for the kindness of our Jeeyar towards us. srimad azhagiya singar thiruvadigaLE saraNam -- adiyEn ramanuja dasan

I would like to register for the August 14th upanyasam (listen only) mode. By the way, voice reception was a little poor last week. I am not sure if it was only for me or others too have a felt so. If the audio is better in interactive mode i would like to enroll in that mode in future.
