Dear Bhagavathas:

We are indeed fortunate that our divine is active

with many informative and enjoyable posts. Our

membership now stands close to 100. We have now

moved to a site that offers many new facilities,

including the ability to control how the posts are

received. Each member can visit the site

and change personal selected

information including temporary suspension of

services. Please take advantage of these

capabilities.

Please permit me to take this opportunity to remind

all members that we have strict rules governing

discussion of materials that do not belong to

our divine sampradayam. adiyEn has highlighted

below a few of these rules.

* They (discussions) must enhance the

understanding of Sri Desika Sampradayam,

strictly in conformance to Sri Vaishnava works.

* Discussions of works that do not belong to Sri

Sampradayam must be avoided.

* Personal experiences in the nature of " anubhavam "

would be enjoyable and are welcome, but not our

own independent opinion that are not strictly

consistent with Sri Desika Sampradaya.

* General treatise in the nature of mere academic

scholarly expositions that do not promote the

understanding and practice of Sri Desika

Sampradayam must be avoided.

(Please visit and review the complete list of

net rules at: http://www.cdc.net/~dileepan/netrules.html)

The rules were designed for the purpose of keeping

our focus on Sri Ramanuja Darsanam (Desika Sampradayam).

Therefore we would like to request our members to be

weary of including materials that do not belong to

our sampradayam. However sweet the songs of those

who do not belong to our Sampradayam, the philosophical

underpinning for these songs make them unsuitable

for our net. We have already had several discussions

about this. Please feel free to visit the archives

and review the discussions. It would be nice to

see articles that include Saint Annamacharya and his

songs rather than Thayagaraja, Deekshatar, et al.

It is now time to end the continuing general

discussions/comparisons/quotations of texts that

do not belong to our divine sampradayam. adiyEn's

request to the earnest and learned members of our

Sri Malola Net is, let us keep the focus of this

group in mind while preparing our articles.

p.s. The above note was written after

consulting with the chairman (Sri Anand

karalapakkam) of the monitoring committee.
