Dear Bhagavathas:

 

adiyEn has prepared a set of two 90 minute cassettes covering the Jan 16,

Feb 7th and 13th upanyaasams. It covers the Thathva/Hitha/Purushartham

upanyasams.

 

The sound quality for the Jan 16th portion is not optimal. We had outsiders

gate crashing and creating problems during this upanyasam. adiyEn has

edited out all these disturbances. But the general sound quality is still

sub optimal for this portion. The sound quality for the other two days are

very good.

 

The content being excellent goes without saying. Since distractions had to

be edited out adiyEn had the opportunity to listen to the entire series

again today. It is a wonder and only a great soul such as Srimad Azhagiya

Singar can make these truths clear to common people such as adiyEn by giving

simple and apt examples. Even more amazing is that even paNdithAs will

appreciate the series as HH quotes pramANAs from a range of sources, not

just from Swami Desikan, Sri Ramanuja, Azhvaars, Upanishads, etc., but also

from Periavaachaan piLlai, Pillai Lokacharya, Azhagiya Manavala perumaal

nayanaar, and ManavaaLa maamunigaL. Not just them, HH brings in Mahakavi

kaaLidaas to illustrate how Swami Desikan takes KaaLidaas's words and gives

them a new and more wonderful meaning. Thus, the series will be appreciated

not just by people like adiyEn, but also by pandithAs.

 

We now make the set available from Sri Ahobila Muth. If you wish to order a

set send me an e-mail. Based on the number of orders we receive we will

either contract it out for producing copies or make the copies ourselves.

adiyEn expects the cost to be in the range of $10 - $15. The cost will be

fixed based on the demand. More the demand, the less will be the cost.
