Part 3 - SWAMI CHALLENGES!

An Introductory Note

(Anbil Ramaswamy)

=============================================================

Dear Bhagavatas

As already mentioned in the Introduction, the naichya anusanthAnam is

applicable to us only and NOT to SwAmi DEsika, we have to substitute

ourselves wherever SwAmi DEsika extrapolates these to himself.

However, circumspection cautions us that it would not be advisable and

prudent on our part to follow our SwAmi, when it comes to challenging the

Lord!

SwAmi DEsika is an adept in all arts. He knows how to plead and even how to

dare without offending!

He seems to employ all the diplomatic ploys including SAma, DhAna, BEdha and

DhanDA- the four strategies of statecraft.

Sometimes, his challenges are likened to the childlike pranks of a kid who

takes privileges and threatens its mother.

However viewed, they are most enjoyable for the intimacy, proximity and

privilege that SwAmi takes with the Divya Dhampathis.

In the forthcoming postings, we will enjoy how deftly the SwAmi poses

friendly challenges to the Lord.

Also for avoiding repetition, I am leaving out this message in the successive

postings

I would request Bhagavatas to bear the above in mind while going through the

postings that follow.
