85. BhUmi: shrutInAm Bhuvanasya DhAthrI

guNaIrananthA vipulA viBhUthyA

sThirA svayam pAlayithum kshamA na:

sarvamsahA shOuripadhAvani! thvam

 

Oh Paaduka! You are the object of praise for the Vedas; the protector

of

the world, possessor of endless qualities, of vast affluence, of firm

nature, and competent to offer protection to us. You are forbearing

too.

You are veritable Bhoomi Devi
