Dear Bhagavatas

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Swami Desika Darsana Satsangam and the

Editorial Board of " SaraNAgathi " Electronic journal, I wish you all a very

happy DeepavaLi.

May the festival of lights -- light and delight our hearts, homes, families,

friends, the great and growing Srivaishnava community and indeed the entire

Universe we live in!

SarvE janA: SukhinO Bhavanthu

Let us nurture the spirit of mutual respect and understanding.

Let us live up to the RAmAmuja DivyAgnaa -

" Sriman Sriranga Sriyam anubadravAm anudinam samvadhaya "

Let us celebrate the " SamprOKshaNam " of " BhoolOka VaikunTam " at Pomona, New

York.

Let us vow to do whatever is in our power to make the world a better, more

peaceful and happy place to live in -- in the new millennium than ever before.

The new millennium is beginning with a bang, what with the MadurAntakam

SwAmi's Tirunakshatram to be celebrated under the direction and guidance of

our AchArya SArvabhouman, Yathivarishta H.H. ParavAkkottai Sri GOpAla DEsika

MahA DEsikan SwAmi of PounDarikapuram Ashramam, Srirangam - vide the

announcement of Sri Sudarsan Parthasarathy. I join him in appealing to every

one of you to contribute liberally for the celebrations.

May I also request that all Sishyas, AbhimAnis and well wishers of this great

AchAryan, His Holiness ParavAkkOttai Sri GOpAla Desika MahA DEsikan SWAmi to

come together in a concerted effort RIGHT FROM NOW ON to arrange for the

celebration of his " SathApdhi " coming up in March-2001 on a grand and fitting

scale?

Please feel free to send any suggestions on how best we could organize this.

Of course, the actual implementation will be after obtaining the seal of

approval and acceptance by His Holiness.

Dasoham
