Guest guest
Dear Bhagavatas, Some Sri Vaishnavas have started to observe Satyanarayana Puja for gRha-praveSams, etc. As far as I know, this observance is not in our sampradAya. Furthermore, some people tell me that the whole story of " satya-nArAyaNa " (which I find very distasteful) does not even exist in the Puranas (sattvic, tamasic or rajasic) in any form. Does anyone have information on the origin of this pUja, i.e., how recent it is, so we can inform people of its origin and thereby demonstrate whether it should or should not be observed? Thanks, Mani
