111. vAkyE garIyasi pithurvihithEpyathrupthyA

mAthurmanOraThashEShamavanDhyayiShyan

manyE thadhA raGhupathi: Bharathasya thEne

mAthasthvayaIva maNimoUlinivEshalaksmIm

 

Oh Paaduka! Rama was possibly not satisfied even

after having fulfilled the father's highly holy orders (in regard to

proceeding to the forest); hence to fully satisfy the ambition of

Kaikeyi, he saw fit to crown Bharata with a gem-crown that You are.
