That homey when is used for your thiru manchanam completely forgot its natural sweetness as it was shy to even remember its suvai when it was applied on the sweetest of all thirumEni. The yogurt usually makes one feel cool. But when it was used in YOUR thiru manchanam it learnt only then as to what is meant by a really good cooling effect or " nalla oru kuLircchiyin thanmaiyai appozhuthuthAn aRinthathu. Those fruit juices learnt the arusivai only when they stayed on YOUR thirumENi for a while during thiru manchanam. ie. YOUR thiru mENi's arusuvai is always present. Lord namperumAL goes to Sri AmmA mandapam. A mangal sutra, a new saree, a garland of perumAL, and veRRilai pAkku, prasadhams are taken on top of the elephant back and carried to the water rim and thrown into the water. The idheeham is that the Lord takes the river thiru kAuveri as HIS spouse and grace her on this day.
