With this verse Swami Nammazhvar predicted a row of illustrious Acharyas such as Bhagavath Ramanuja, Swami Sri Desikan, and Srimad Athivan Satakopa Jeeyar, to appear in this earth and expand the joy of Sri Vaishnavam to all who are inclined. The Utsavam that culminated in Nammazhvar Moskham is a reminder of this verse. There is no denying that the entire gamut of our Acharya Pramapara was present on December 25th evening at Long Hill Community center when Swami Nammazhvar was taken in a divine procession, accompanied by the sound of " nIL visumbaNi mugil thUriyam muzhakkina... " , to Lod Ranganatha in whose divine feet the Azhvar disappeared. By the time Prapanna pradhishtai for Swami Nammazhvar could be completed in India it was already early December. So, Swami Nammazhvar traveled to New York by Air France. It is no coincidence that Srimad AthivaN Satakopan, who found the lost Nammazvar at Azhavar Thirunagari, also accompanied Swami Nammazhvar to New York by Air France. They arrived at the temple on December 17th in time for the regular Saturday Thirumanjanam next day. The Adyayana Utsavam began in all earnestness on December 18th with many Bhavathas from all across the U.S. The next day was Vaikunta Ekadasi and the extraordinary glow in the thiru mukha maNdalam of Lord Ranganatha was strikingly noticeable in the presence of the newly arrived Acharyas. Hundreds of devotees entered the Vaikunta Vasal and were blessed. The Adyayanam of Dhivya Prabhandham continued uninterrupted, morning and evening. On December 23rd evening, Sri Rangnatha with His consorts, Sri Krishna, Sri Srinivasa with His consorts, and the Acharyas Swami Nammazhvar, Bhgavath Ramanuja, Swami Sri Desikan, and Srimad Athivan Satakopan, moved to Long Hill Community Center, NJ in anticipation of a big crowd of devotees for the Nammazhvar mOksham festivities. Recitation of Thiruvaymozhi started on December 24th and continued with increasing intensity and expectation till the evening of December 25th. Then came the climax. In slow deliberate swinging motion, and to the accompaniment of the sound of the last twenty paasurams of Thiruvaymozhi, Swami Nammazhvar approached the Sannithi in " kaithAngal " (hand carried). Witnessing this amazing sight for the first time in the U.S., Lord Rangantha shined in all His majesty, accompanied by ubhaya NAchchiyars, and, Periya Piratti and Andal. At the conclusion of ThiruvAy mozhi, Swami Nammaazhvar placed his forehead upon Lord Rangantha's divine feet and disappeared (into a mountain of Thirutthuzhaay). The moment was electric. With the disappearance of our dear Prapanna Jana Kootasthar there was not a single dry eye in the hall filled with many hundreds of devotees. Then, upon repeated pleading by the Bhattar, Lord Sri Rangnatha granted Swami Nammazhvar back to us and the Azhvar emerged in enhanced splendor. Ebbing with joy Swami Nammazhvar was taken back to the midst of Acharyas with the sound of KaNNinuN Sirththambu. Swami Nammazhvar has arrived in this land of plenty. His blessings are secured. Behold! gone are the beginingless curses, tormenting hell is shattered, the angel of death is devoid of any work, the age of kali is destroyed; the temple construction work will be completed; Lord Ranganatha will delight in a repeat of this Utsavam in His own home next year. polga! poliga!! poliga!!! (The recitation of the IyarpA concluded on December 26th. Perumal and Acharyas moved back to the temple, (i.e. Sri Venkat Swami's house), on Dec 26th night. The entire Desika Prabhandham was recited on Dec 27th. Thus, with the divine blessings of our AchArya SArva Boumar, Sri Lakshmi Nrisimha Dhivya Padhuka Sevaka Srivan Satakopa Sri Naryana Yatindra Mahadesikan, the Adyayana Utsavam came to a successful completion. Many hundreds of devotees rejoiced in the participation of this spectacular experience. Those who missed the Utsavam this time will have an opportunity next year.) srimad azhagiya singar thiruvadigaLE saraNam -- adiyEn ramanuja dasan
